See the ideal reference.

Rotate labeled S4, S6, S8, S10, C8, and C10 spheres with poles, main centers, opposite pairs, and front and rear guide circles.

Physical audit

Check the actual mari.

Enter four pole-to-pole routes and every neighboring base interval. C8 and C10 also require all 12 or 30 main-center edges plus 3 or 6 opposite-pair confirmations. Signed deviations and a 1–3 mm tolerance distinguish missing checks, outliers, and a passing audit.

Workshop output

Carry the map to paper.

Preview, print, or share a 1:1, 3 mm-wide strip for US Letter or A4 with pinholes, combination setup marks, tile registration, and a 50 mm calibration line.

A reference you can question

The globe and calculated targets describe ideal simple- and combination-division geometry. A screen diagram cannot prove that a handmade mari is spherical or correctly marked, so Temari Atlas reports the physical audit as passing only after every required reading is entered and falls within the tolerance you select.

Temari traditions and teaching methods vary. The app supports a focused narrow-strip workflow; it does not reproduce decorative stitch patterns, promise thread quantities, or replace a teacher’s method and a careful physical check.

Projects stay portable

Project measurements, audit readings, palette, progress, and notes are stored locally. You can create a local JSON backup and share a marking-strip PDF only when you choose. There is no Temari Atlas account, sync service, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
