Keep your iron’s pitch and balance the end insets, or fit the endpoints and use the evenly adjusted gap shown in the plan.
Use the supported rounded-panel plan to balance corners, or give joined edges one common hole count with separate pitches.

Open Layout and choose Straight, Panel, or Match. Enter the measurements from your stitch line—not an unmeasured estimate— and confirm the units beside every value. Review the hole count, interval count, adjusted spacing, and bench action before marking leather.
EvenAwl is a planning aid. Leather stretch, tool geometry, punching angle, thickness, and hand technique still affect the finished seam. Verify the result on scrap before punching the final piece.
Keep iron pitch preserves the exact pitch of your fixed-pitch tool and balances the leftover distance between both ends. Choose Fit endpoints when the first and last marks must remain fixed; EvenAwl then shows the evenly adjusted gap needed between them.
A fixed-pitch multi-tooth iron cannot create a different pitch. If the plan calls for an adjusted gap, transfer that layout with dividers, a template, or a single-tooth awl. The strike sequence identifies when an existing hole is reused for alignment and when a smaller finishing tool may be needed.
The Panel planner supports rectangular panels with rounded corners. Use its balanced segments as a marking guide around the radius and blend small corrections gradually. It is not a general-purpose path or pattern planner.
Match gives two differently sized edges the same interval and hole count while showing the pitch required on each edge. Equal hole counts do not make the physical lengths equal; use an assembly or easing technique appropriate to the project.
The Thread tab produces a working cut-length estimate from seam length, combined leather thickness, repeated seams, needle tails, and a visible safety allowance. It is a planning heuristic, so thread size, stitch style, tension, backstitching, and technique can change real consumption.
