The short version
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Caliber Trail does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal, project, photo, document, or usage data.
App data and this website
This policy describes data handling by the Caliber Trail app. Visiting this public website is a separate activity. The website has no account, contact form, analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, but its hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
Website request information is not Caliber Trail app data, and the app does not send records or usage information to this website. Read the Y Corp Technologies website privacy notice for the website-specific explanation.
Information Caliber Trail collects
None. Caliber Trail does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting, or third-party software development kits that collect information. The app has no developer-operated server or synchronization service and makes no automatic network communication.
What stays on your device
Job titles and references, optional customer and watch identity fields, serial or case numbers, dates, status, notes, movement modules, ordered teardown and reassembly steps, tray cells, screw and part observations, lubrication observations, parts queues, suppliers and local cost inputs, manually entered timing readings, photos, numbered markers, imported reference documents, and preferences may be stored in Caliber Trail’s private local storage on your iPhone or iPad.
This information is used only to provide app features and is not uploaded to Y Corp Technologies. You can delete jobs in the app. Removing Caliber Trail deletes its local app container, subject to device backup and restore behavior independently managed by Apple and your operating-system settings. Y Corp Technologies cannot access those backups.
Camera and Photos picker
Camera access is optional. iOS requests permission only after you choose to capture a photo. A captured image is copied into the selected job’s local storage and is not sent to Y Corp Technologies.
Apple’s system Photos picker lets you grant access only to an item you select. Caliber Trail copies that selected image into the local job. The app does not request broad photo-library access. It remains useful when camera access is denied and when a step has no photo.
Imported reference documents
Caliber Trail accesses a reference document only after you select it through an Apple system file interface. The app copies the selected file into the local job record. It does not send the document to Y Corp Technologies. Select only files you are permitted to store and use.
PDF reports, backups, and sharing
PDF reports and `.calibertrail` backups leave the app only after you choose to export or share them through an Apple system interface. Caliber Trail does not automatically publish, synchronize, or transmit an export.
If you select iCloud Drive, a third-party Files provider, messaging, mail, or another destination, that destination may download, upload, or store the file under its own terms and the device settings you control. Caliber Trail does not choose the provider and Y Corp Technologies does not receive the file.
Device backups
Depending on your settings, iOS or iPadOS may include local app data in an encrypted iCloud or computer backup. Apple or the computer owner controls that backup; Y Corp Technologies cannot access it.
Security
Caliber Trail stores its records in its private app container and relies on Apple’s platform protections and the device security settings you control. Y Corp Technologies has no server copy that can be used to recover a lost local record.
An exported report, backup, photo, or document is no longer protected by the app container after you send it to another location. Protect exported files appropriately and verify a backup before deleting important work. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.
App Store transactions
Apple processes the App Store purchase and may process device backups under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. Caliber Trail and Y Corp Technologies do not receive your payment credentials or gain access to your device backup.
Support correspondence
If you email support, you provide your email address, message, and any attachment you choose to Y Corp Technologies and the email providers used to deliver it. That information is used only to answer your request, kept only as long as reasonably needed for support and recordkeeping, and is not sold or used for advertising.
You may ask us to delete a support conversation by emailing the same support address, subject to any limited legal retention requirement. Do not send client names, serial numbers, confidential bench photos, or backups unless they are necessary and you are permitted to share them.
International processing
Caliber Trail does not transmit app-local information to Y Corp Technologies for processing in another country. If you visit this website, contact support by email, or direct an export to an external service, the applicable hosting, network, email, cloud, or sharing provider may process that information in locations where it operates under its own terms and privacy practices.
Children’s privacy
Caliber Trail is a general-purpose professional and hobby utility. Because it does not collect personal information through the app, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If Caliber Trail’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed behavior is released. The effective date at the top of this page will also be revised.
